Welcome to the Madisonville Police Department Website
The Madisonville Police Department is a small but progressive law enforcement agency that embraces the technologies and policing strategies of the 21st century. Here at MPD we believe the community comes first while providing quality, competent, professional, compassionate, and quick responsive service to citizens is our goal. MPD is proud to have officers represented in several law enforcement efforts to include: The Madison County Grimes County Drug Strike Force, Brazos Valley Region Alcohol Task Force, Brazos Valley Child Abduction Response Team, and others. We invite you to tour our informative website and see what we have to offer. From our Ride-a-long program, to Crime Stoppers, to the History of Madisonville, our website is sure to inform you, not only about the Madisonville Police Department, but the historic city we serve as well.

Protecting life, liberty and property;
Preventing crime;
Preserving civil order by enforcing the statutes of the United States of America, the State of Texas, County of Madison, and the City of Madisonville; and
Providing assistance and service to our community and visitors through education, advice, and referrals.

The relationship between the community and the police department has never been more important, whether taking into consideration the Homeland Security issues of our entire nation or our own local problems.
As the community and the police department work together in being observant in our neighborhood and staying active in our children’s lives as they go through school, we can make our community a safer and better place to live.
